Redfern's Cottage

Client: Uttoxeter Heritage Trust with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and JCB

Museum of Uttoxeter Life

The timber framed Grade II listed building in Carter Street dates from 1756 and was the residence of Francis Redfern, who wrote the History of the Town of Uttoxeter in 1865.

The current re-development works will transform the existing museum with a new café, an area dedicated to “community life” and interactive galleries on domestic life, the civil war, markets and the making of the modern town.
