Conversion to museum, gallery and VIC

The Music Hall is located in the centre of the county town and following a multi-million pound refurbishment was reopened on 1st April 2014 as the new home for the County Museum and Art Gallery and Visitor Information Centre.

This site contains a unique collection of buildings including the Grade II* listed 13th century Vaughan”s Mansion, the Grade II listed Music Hall and Assembly Rooms, a medieval shut, the town”s 18th century prison cells and a 20th century nuclear bunker.

Acting as Consultant Quantity Surveyors for Shropshire Council we prepared bills of quantities for tender and provided a full post contract service.

Received a commendation in the 2015 Civic Trust AABC Conservation Awards.
